The desert was as hot as a furnace. Gil felt all his energy evaporate into the blinding sunlight. Even the simple act of rubbing his dry eyes and adjusting his glasses felt exhausting.
He saw something in the distance, a figure or perhaps only a mirage. It appeared to be a warrior, the one who had rescued Yunwa from the Tyrian Cult. Perhaps things weren't as dire as they seemed. There was more to the warrior than that which was immediately apparent. The question was: how long would the warrior survive?
