Objectives[ | ]
Dialogue[ | ]
1. Speak with Somai
- "If you're not too busy, I could use some assistance, Darling."
- "Oh joy. Another new recruit. And so eager, too? Well then, are you looking for an assignment?"
- Of course.
- "So very eager, Darling! I love the enthusiasm! Love it. So here's the story. I saw a Blackram Seeker snooping around the area a few hours ago. It looked like he was spying on our camp, so I chased after him. And then the strangest thing happened."
- What?
- "No, I can't say. It's too embarrassing, Darling! I'm a respected member of the Bamboo Guard! (I can't believe I'm spilling my guts to a rookie!) Okay fine. I'll tell you. I tripped and fell. My sword flew out of my hand. There I was, helpless, lying in the mud, with a murderous pirate standing over me ready for the kill. (No, seriously, I should stop telling the rookie this story. It's mortifying!) And then he picked up my sword...and handed it to me. Then without a word he ran off into the woods. (Well, it's too late now. Cat's out of the bag, so to speak.) The whole ordeal was just too strange for words. I need you to find this strange Blackram pirate and find out what game he's playing. Is he a spy? Who's he working for? Why did he help me?"
- "These woods do strange things to people."
2. Defeat the Blackram Seeker and obtain the patrol report
- <Patrol Report>:
- To: The S. Fleet Seekers near the Militia Guard Post in the Forest of the Dead
3. Speak with Somai
- "Oh, you're back. Did you find this guy?"
- "This report is odd. It seems like he was supposed to be spying on our base but all his notes are about...me. I mean, it's flattering to get this sort of attention. I wasn't always this plain middle aged soldier, you know. When I was younger I was quite the distraction to some of the boys in the Guard. I was so distracting the Captain offered me a job! But a pirate? A Blackram Marauder? Ugh. No. No way. Pass. I hope you gave that cheeky boy a sound trashing. (I think I read a romance novel with this plot once...) All right. I'm glad we solved this mystery. Be a dead and don't mention this to the others? I'd like to be taken seriously by my peers. If they found out about this, the Pirate Lover jokes would never end."
- "Discretion, Dearie. Discretion."
