History[edit | edit source]
His father, head of the Dohyun Clan, deemed his son unfit to take a position among the Eight Masters and selected Onmyung for the job instead. Namgun Sunjay, who was quite aware that he was his father's disappointment, often skipped his training in order to pursue his passions in music and poetry.
First Arc[edit | edit source]
Still determined to make a name for himself, he entered into the Royal Martial Arts Championship, making it to the semi-final round. He lost to the might of the Hongmoon hero who went on to become the championship winner. At the Losers' Table at the bar following the championship, he met Tayjin, Unak, and Wolyong who all had studied under one of the Eight Masters. Realizing that they all failed to make a name for themselves on their own, they decided to band together as a team.
When news that the original Eight Masters were gone came, Namgun Sunjay ran away from home, feeling inadequate to stand in Onmyung's shadow, much the less his father's.
Second Arc[edit | edit source]
Namgun Sunjay joined Tayjin, Unak, and Wolyong in their search for the missing children, hoping to make a name for themselves that way. While Unak and Wolyong went to the Silverfrost Mountains to begin their search while Tayjin and Namgun went to Zaiwei to petition for support from Empress Yunma Fei.
