- "Hello. Jinwaryo just sent me a pigeon saying that you'd pass through here. How is she, anyway? Did she mention me?"
- No, she didn't.
- "Oh, really? She told me that maybe she wanted to meet up but then she got relocated and... It's not important. There's a real problem here: the Dusk Adders have been abducting miners in the Gloomdross for a few weeks now. (I thought she liked rugged-looking guys...) I'll never figure out why people join the Char Coalition. It's hard work for almost no pay and they get kidnapped or raided nearly every week! What a bunch of fools, huh? (This sounds like a Buyong problem.) I don't know what they think I'm supposed to do about it in Whalesong Cove. Do me a favor and take this report to Buyong at the Gloomdross Lookout. She's always eager to take the lead."
