Dialogue[edit | edit source]

1. Talk to Jeyung at the Blackram Narrows entrance OR Chun Muduk at Oakshade Village

Jeyung
"Please, keep your voice low. Word of this hasn't even reached Bamboo Village. Can trust you to keep this secret?"
You can trust me.
"Captain Dochun himself is leading a small group of veteran guards into the heart of the Blackram Narrows. He dropped everything to come here. Captain Dochun is tracking a man. At least, I think he's a man. I saw him at the Bamboo Lighthouse. He's huge. He's a mountain. The giant saw me as I was making my rounds. He stared a hole right through me. I thought I was dead on the spot. But he wasn't looking for me. He was looking for someone else. (He thought I was too insignificant to even bother with...) I reported back to Captain Dochun, and he ordered us to track the strange giant down at once. It wasn't hard to follow his trail — death followed him wherever he went. (That giant man... he'll haunt my dreams!) The giant crossed over into Songshu Isle and eventually came to the Sentinel Coast, heading toward the Blackram Narrows. If he is allied with the Blackram... by the gods! Bamboo Village doesn't stand a chance. Captain Dochun is somewhere inside the South Fleet complex now. He said to keep this operation a secret, but you have aided us before. I believe we need all the help we can get with this monster. (No one could doubt that man's power once they see him in action.) I know you helped fend off the last Blackram invasion, and we need your help once more. Find Captain Dochun and his guards. They went left at the fork in the platform ahead. Help them stop that giant!"
Chun Muduk
"You're the one who saved Bamboo Village! The Bamboo Guard is looking for you."
Looking for me?
"I received a letter from old friend Jeyung. He says that something went wrong during their raid on the Blackram South Fleet. (Jeyung, that rascal. I haven't seen him since he left the monastery.)"
What happened?
"Something about an enormous man with an equally big axe! Jeyung doesn't have the best handwriting. Jeyung asked that I send the hero of Bamboo Village if I stumbled across you. He thinks you can stop this man. (That Jeyung... Terrified of combat, and yet he joins the Bamboo Guard.) It sounds like time is a luxury the Bamboo Guard cannot afford. Will you go to Blackram Narrows and aid them?"

2. Talk to the Bamboo Guard who infiltrated the Blackram Narrows

"You're the Hongmoon warrior, right? Same as Captain Dochun? Good. You might be a fool for coming here — I think we all are — but I'm sure glad you came."
Jeyung sent me.
"Jeyung? We had to leave him behind. He cracked. Couldn't take it. At least he had enough sense to send help. Actually, I thought Jeyung was crazy even before we got here. I thought he was exaggerating about this man we're chasing. But it was no exaggeration. (My heart is still pounding...)"
Who exactly are you chasing?
"We don't know who this giant is or where he came from. All I know is that he's no friend of the Blackram. He's been slaughtering scores of Marauders with that axe of his."
Could he be an ally?
"No way. He's killing everyone in his path, no matter what uniform they're wearing. He attacked our squad and we had to scatter. We lost contact with Captain Dochun and the others. All with one swing of that axe! (Thank the gods that some Marauders were between us and that giant when he first appeared.)"
What kind of axe was it?
"It was made of a strange iron. Cold Iron, I think. It must be heavier than a house, and almost as big. I doubt even ten guards could lift it. And he was swinging it around like it was nothing."
And did he have a face scar? I think I've seen this man...
"Now that you mention it, yes. I think so. I was a little too busy keeping my head on my neck to get a good look at him. But anyway, enough talk. Captain Dochun and a few guards followed the giant deeper into the complex. Find them and help them. We'll keep this building secured."

3. Enter the Blackam Narrows in pursuit of the giant

4. Defeat Gubong

5. Talk to Jeyung at the Blackram Narrows entrance OR Chun Muduk at Oakshade Village in the Cinderlands

Jeyung
"Thank the gods you're safe! I didn't know what to think after you and Captain Dochun had been gone for so long."
Where is Captain Dochun?
"Captain Dochun used Windstride to return to Bamboo Village. With the giant taken care of, we have to renew our defense of the town. The Bamboo Guard never rests. I was told to wait here for your return. I'm glad to see you're in one piece. You'll have to tell me the entire story over drinks one night, okay? Oh, I also have this gift for you on behalf of Bamboo Village. You risked your life for the safety of the Viridian Coast. Your heroism will not go unrewarded. Thank you again."
Chun Muduk
"Good to see you! Jeyung just sent word of your bout with the giant! It sounds like quite the story. You've done a great service for my old friend. Thank you, warrior, and good work.
