1. Speak with Somai
- "Oh, you're back, darling. It is so good to see you."
- "You were so helpful in dealing, with my, ah, overly-friendly-bandit issue, Darling. Just splendid work. I was wondering if I could trouble you again."
- What do you mean?
- "This may come as a shock, but the Bamboo Guard has duties that extend beyond putting filthy bandits and pirates to the sword. (I, for example, chair over 12 different committees. So busy!) I, for example, am in charge of providing assistance to former members of the Bamboo Guard. Some of these poor beauties are so injured, they can't handle the basics of life: food, shelter, and, uh, fundamental cleanliness. One of my chargers if Former First Lieutenant Anh. A brave man. Always first to leap into a battle. A habit that earned him a spray of acid to the eyes some years back. The poor man is completely blind! Can you imagine some so tragic, darling? It's awful. Just awful. Anyway, in addition to regular food and clothing deliveries, I've also been making sure he gets a few goodies as well. For example, his favorite dessert is bondberries and cream. But since he's blind he can't pick the bondberries himself. I'd do it myself, but I've been asked to pull a second shift of guard duty. Can you be a dear and gather some bondberries for me and deliver them to Blindman Anh at Foshi Pyres?"
- "Be careful. Other creatures like bondberries too..."

- "You smell that, Sim?
- Blindman Sim:
- "Sure do Anh. Smells like corpberries."
- Blindman Anh:
- "Are you crazy? Those are definitely bondberries. You should get your fat nose checked."
- "Another delivery from Somai, I take it? (She really needs to stop doing this...)"
- Yes. Bondberries.
- "Bondberries. My favorite. Thank you. You really shouldn't have, though. (These smell pretty sweet. Probably from the grove by Bamboo Village.) I'm serious. I know she thinks she'd doin' me a favor, but I'm a grown man. If I want bondberries, I should head on out into the brush and pick 'em myself. Just because I lost my eyes doesn't mean I'm helpless. But if people keep on treating me like I am, I will be. That make sense?"
- I think so.
- "Anyway, if you see Somai, tell her thanks for the gesture. And tell her not to worry about me. This old soldier still has a few tricks up his sleeve."
- "These are pretty tasty, though."
