"You seem troubled, Jyan. I can sense the turmoil within you. I do not mean to pry, but I get the impression that your motives are clouded by anger and pain. Is vengeance what you seek? It is only natural that a warrior would seek blood as payment for blood. Taking one life in exchange for another may feel like an equal exchange. I assure you, it is not. Those who choose revenge destroy themselves in the process. This will become evident to you, if you are willing to help me."

What do you need?

"I need a roadway to be cleared. The herbalists who deliver our supplies can't reach us. We need their herbs to create our charms. When the herbalists travel on dark nights or rainy days, they light the old stone lanterns along the path, but every time a lantern is lit, Revenants emerge and attack. The Revenants are the restless souls of warriors who were once part of a local clan. After losing a battle to a rival clan, the warriors were bound to the lanterns and stoned to death. The dying warriors vowed to take revenge. Now their spirits are so consumed by anger that they've forgotten who they were fighting and why. See for yourself where this path of vengeance leads. Light the lanterns. Defeat the Revenants. As soon as the path is safe, please find the herbalist San Mawi at Wispwater Spring. Tell him the road is open, and his herbs are desperately needed."
