Dungeon Types[]

Please stop changing it back to Normal > Green, Challenge > Blue and Heroic > Purple as the website is inaccurate and UK domain. The reason why Normal > White, Hard > Green, Challenging > Blue and Heroic > Purple is what's being used in the game. Even the loading screens in the game says that. Please do not use inaccurate info on Wiki to mislead players. And also do not remove solo dungeons because they are dungeons too. This is not your personal playground to delete shit and put in your own perspective. I added them for the general good. If its in the game. It has to be up here. This is not a private site. It's a shared site for People in needs help in BnS.

Indeed, and as a wiki, and as is written before you hit save on any page "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here.". We've come to an agreement to these terms according to the official NA website (I'm not sure where you've gotten UK from from but it seems they agree with NA). Solo instances are not considered dungeons for our purposes as they cannot be queued for and have almost no valuable loot to speak of. I encourage you to make pages for them and categorize them as appropriate. Thanks for sticking to our standards. --CirnoCappucciruno 01:04, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
Even if solo instances are not considered. You are still marking dungeons incorrectly. White > Normal Green > Hard Blue > Challenging Purple > Heroic/Epic. The "UK" is from the link you gave me. Please based on what's published in game. As for "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here.". Since this is the public site. I wish no incorrect info being published. You do not edit stuff upon your own understandings. Please revisit in game for actual labeling of dungeons. I am not going change them right now because you mostly likely going revert them upon your own satisfactions. Do change if you actually go into game and check the correct labeling. thou -Flex
Hello you both. There is no need to be in disagreement about this issue, as long as the game itself is quite clear about it. But now it needs have a clear statement about dungeons, as long as this will involve not only you both, but anyone helping on dungeon things. So we will have:
Easy Dungeons (White)
Normal Dungeons (Green)
Challenge Dungeons (Blue)
Heroic Dungeons (Purple)
I had not used the word Solo because on some of them you can notice the game says you can go with a party of two, and because all other prefixes are about the difficulty level of the dungeon itself, so Easy suits them better than Solo. Yes all of them can be soloed, of course. Yes, they haven't any relevant loot, but technically they are still Dungeons, with their map and all. And Yes, Easy Dungeons cannot be accessed by the Cross-server Dungeon Lobby. I hope this will ends the discussion and you both agree on the terms, without the need to escalate the issue. I will not touch the Dungeons page because I'm quite sure you will reach an agreement on how that page must be done. Thank you --^|_| (talk) 16:01, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your offers, however I'd like Wiki to stick with what game is presenting not neither of us' own opinion. - flex
I'm now rolling all game tips to find the one with dungeons so we can end this easily. --^|_| (talk) 16:13, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
So far (almost one hour trying to get the tip) haven't got anything about Dungeons. Only this one about quests. If one of you will get the correct tip please let me know on my talk page. Thank you!--^|_| (talk) 16:54, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
@FlexMahGamingMuscles: Here is the link, with the important part made bigger for your convenience: http://www.bladeandsoul.com/en/news/dungeons-part-i/. The "en" part refers to the English (i.e. North American) version of the site. You will notice on top of this page the list of difficulties as we've been describing them. This is official information, which supersedes any opinions you might have about the classification.
@Andreably: I do agree with the term dungeon rather than instance, and also with the label of "easy" for white ones; it does align with the theme of difficulty better than "solo". It did bother me a bit that they were not included as part of dungeons so I'd be happy to add them. Just a note however that it's "challenging" and not "challenge". --CirnoCappucciruno 23:39, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Yep, Challenging is good. About white dungeons, I guess they didn't were included because there is no party involved. Not including them feels to me as Pluto being a planet no more, and now it is a dwarf planet. White dungeons are dwarf dungeons! --^|_| (talk) 10:41, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Skill lists on class pages[]

I'd like to get some opinions on the various skill lists to see which format is preferred, so that we can unify the styles before too much more work is done on these lists. I started a discussion page here. --Sigilbaram (talk) 22:53, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

Help with the Itembox template[]

Hey, do you know how to make templates? If you do, can you help me please? I would really like the Category line in Template:Itembox to be optional, but I have no idea how to do that. Cus if it's not optional, it becomes like this: Training Sword. On the other hand, if the line is blank in the game (which it is about half the time), I don't want to make something up to put in there. -Chifuyu

Sorta kinda maybe. I understand that you don't want to have the category as part of the itembox if it isn't present in game, but it seems that another use of that parameter is to also categorize the page itself for the wiki, which I find pretty nifty. So I can make it optional but I'd encourage you to categorize items at least for the wiki when they have no in-game category!--Cappucciruno (talk) 03:59, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, it's working wonderfully! Hmmm, good point about the categorizing. I'll make sure to spend some time sorting things out properly. Chifuyu (talk) 10:16, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Formatting Weapon Pages[]

Heyyy, I see that you've been keeping an eye on the weapon pages recently, helping Nivilaw with using the item rarity template and all. I want to start making weapon pages in earnest, now that I'm kinda done with Profession, but I want to formalize what format to use. If you have time, I'd like to invite you to join the conversation at Talk:Weapons. Would really appreciate your output. Thanks! Chifuyu (talk) 01:27, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

What do you think about the new formatting at Hongmoon Sword? As for the suggestion to replace bullet points with images, I think it'd look weird for the Acquisition part to have so many images and for the Breakthrough part to have normal ones, so I'm afraid I'll have to turn it down. Plus, it'd bug my OCD for the Weapon pages to have special bullet points by themselves, sorry >.< Anyways, yea. The other option is to keep everything still inside the infobox, like I did in Hongmoon Lynblade. Which do you think looks better, any other suggestions, etc? --Chifuyu
Well first, information is repeated way too much on Hongmoon Lynblade so of course Hongmoon Sword is the better of the two. Now for the new version, I think you should divide the Breakthrough section into Breakthrough for stage 5 and Evolution for stage 10 (I think that's the term used in-game anyway) and also, you should use Template:Item for items links and Template:Quest for quests links where applicable. Finally, I'm still of the opinion that having icons next to the Acquisition section items makes the page less plain, makes it easier to differ between the different ways at a glance, and also follows the way it is presented in game. --CirnoCappucciruno 01:48, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Meh, fine. Alright, thanks a lot for all the suggestions! I'm gonna go with Hongmoon Sword from now on. Cheers~! Chifuyu (talk) 23:58, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Oh hey, I notice that you've made a Weapon format subpage on your profile, so I just want to give you a heads up, but I added one more section (Stats) to the weapon pages. For example, please refer to Hongmoon Bangle. Chifuyu (talk) 04:38, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
I see. Would you want that table to be a template instead? Seems a little redundant to have it in every page the way it is. Something along the lines of this maybe? --CirnoCappucciruno 06:37, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion things[]

You do know that you can upload over images and move them to the proper file names, right? :3= Just wondering since I'm sifting through the deletion candidates and noticed a lot of them were duplicates or have newer images uploaded elsewhere. Urbancowgurl777 (talk) 08:12, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I was uploading a group of soul shield images I made and had to choose between a) uploading all 200 images together, categorizing them all at once and then flagging the old duplicates or b) upload only part of them, then individually re-upload over each of the duplicates and then modify each file's category. The former seemed more simple overall. --Cappucciruno 17:14, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Actually I just noticed you're not talking about those, but at least now you know why those are flagged. Concerning the class/race pictures, they were uploaded mistakenly as I was figuring out how to batch upload. Afterwards I re-uploaded them over their respective Race_Class_Gender files. I left the names as is deliberately. --Cappucciruno 17:24, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Okay, no problem. I understand. (: Also I have all of the images ripped from the client that you could ever think of so if you need any help with images, let me know. Urbancowgurl777 (talk) 18:18, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

New parameter in dungeon template[]

Hi, I've added a zone parameter to that template, and added it in your userpage too, just to have it out the maintenance templates. It will be useful to track all dungeons in a given zone and also track the missing ones in manually made pages (as Dungeons). Thanks again for your help! --^|_| (talk) 16:07, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Cool, thanks! --Cappucciruno 17:15, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Deletion requests[]

Hi, when you set a {{delete}} template please add the reason: {{delete| reason here}} , it makes more easy the delete process. Thanks! --^|_| (talk) 19:17, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Weapon Table Template[]

Just saw the new template for weapon tables. It'll be very helpful, thanks a lot for making it! ^_^ Chifuyu (talk) 11:05, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Dungeon replaces Instance as naming convention[]

Hi, this brief note to let you know all reference to instance have been changed to Dungeon on overall wiki, because these two terms refers to same thing, and they were starting to cause troubles on categorizing things. So I've choose to adopt the official naming of "Dungeon" as used by game client. Sorry for have touched your user space while doing it! --^|_| (talk) 13:31, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Duplicated files[]

Hello, a number of files you recently uploaded were marked for deletion because duplicates. I've made a discussion here so we all together will try to find the best method to avoid it happens so often as it is now. --^|_| (talk) 13:00, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Soul Shield Template[]

Hi, i see you did overhaul the soul shield template. i figured we can make templates that will calculate min and max total stats, but it will result in a huge template (all var have to be declared atleast as empty like: |stat1HPmin=) what do you think about this idea? i did an example for only stat*HPmin http://bladeandsoul.gamepedia.com/Template_talk:BoPaeBoxTest meaning it will calculate the total HpMin stat automatically. since you did tackle the soul shields template i ask for you opinion before wasting time to complete this template. (the design doesnt matter to me, but the idea to make such an complicated template) --Buah2 (talk) 23:30, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Dojo Account[]

Do you have an account on the Dojo? If so (or if not) please message me on there at Urbancowgurl777. (: Urbancowgurl777 (talk) 06:19, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Template vardefine[]

Hi, i've seen this in {{Item}} and tried to use it but after many trials still not working. Can you give me some tips or take a look at Green Thumbs the very top of the source :)
Right now it works on switch but i'd like to make it something else.

I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish, or how it is related to vardefine. It seems Template:GuildWrap_ItemBoxMini will format arguments, and you're calling the template in Green Thumbs where the prodq and gl arguments depend upon the item parameter. But since Green Thumbs isn't a template, item looks like it will always be nothing. The way I use it in Template:Item is simply to define colors, so that users can pass in names like "refined" or "basic", instead of color codes, so that colors stay the same across pages. It's simply substitution. Anyway, here's some documentation that may help you: templates documentation, variables extension documentation. --CirnoCappucciruno 23:16, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi, i noticed this discussion by sheer luck. The goal of this is to use like that {{:Green Thumbs|Sweet Potato}} to have similar effect to {{:Sweet Potato}} but with significant gathering information like the guild, how much you gather at once, required guild level. I originally planned to use vardefine insteed of switch but didn't have time to play with it to make it work.
Now it gives such effect
GuildEmblemP 017
x Swet potato Sweet Potato
Gthumbs Green Thumbs
x 1
GL 4

compared to

x Swet potato Sweet Potato
Available on Marketplace
CirnoCappucciruno I wish you luck with working it out --Arhmichal (talk) 03:53, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
